LOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell women's lacrosse team (4-11, 1-5) hits the road for the final two contests of the season on Wednesday at No. 15 Dartmouth before wrapping up America East play at Vermont on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
In the River Hawks lone game of the week, the comeback attempt fell short against Binghamton on Senior Night in front of a record crowd of 573. Trailing 11-4 at the half, the Mill City squad allowed just one Bearcat goal in the second half, but ran out of time and fell 12-9.
Austin Trasatti (Doylestown, Pa.) tallied three points from two goals and an assist to lead the squad offensively, while
Courtney Barrett (South Burlington, Vt.) tied a season-high 15 saves in the loss.
LEADING THE FLOCK
Kendyl Finelli (Southborough, Mass.) remains the leader on offense for the River Hawks with 50 points from 35 assists and 15 goals on the season, while
Taylor Sokol (Hopkinton, Mass.) leads the squad with 32 goals.
Jane Dudley (Duxbury, Mass.) sits at 21 points from 10 goals and 11 assists. In total, 14 different players have scored a goal this season to set a new program record in a single season, eclipsing the 12 set in the 2016 season.

Barrett between the posts has accumulated 98 saves on the year for a .469 save percentage and a 10.92 goals-against average.
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH (10-3)
The Big Green have played four Top-25 teams this season, going 2-2 in those contests to hold a No. 15 ranking on going into Wednesday's tilt and are in the midst of their best season since their 2013 campaign when they won 11 games. Ellie Carson has tallied 52 points on 41 goals and 11 assists to lead the Big Green offensively this season. Kierra Sweeney (29g, 5a) and Tori Chanenchuk (10g, 24a) have each tallied 34 points on the year. In total, 15 Dartmouth players have tallied a goal this season. Kiera Vrindten has started all 13 games in net for Dartmouth and has compiled 102 saves on teh year to register a .457 save percentage and a 10.12 goals-against average.
SERIES HISTORY
The past two years have seen the Big Green and River Hawks battle on the field with Dartmouth coming out victorious each time. After falling 18-2 in the first meeting in 2016, the River Hawks had a much better outing last season in the season opener at Wicked Blue Field, falling 11-9.
SCOUTING VERMONT (5-11, 1-5)
Vermont enters Saturday's contest coming off their first conference win of the season against Hartford. The Catamounts are led by Elise Koehl (37g, 6a) and Jenna Janes (32g, 11a) who have both tallied 43 points on the season, while Alex Bernier leads the team in assists with 21 and has tallied 10 goals for 31 points on the season. In total, 13 different players have tallied a goal this season. Maddy Kuras has started every game in net for Vermont and has stopped 150 shots for a .431 save percentage and a 14.37 goals-against average.
SERIES HISTORY
The River Hawks and Catamounts have played each year since 2015, with Vermont taking the first two contest and UMass Lowell being victorious last season on Senior Day, 14-7.

BARRETT REACHES MILESTONE, EYES A SECOND
Goalkeeper
Courtney Barrett stopped seven shots in the loss at Iona (3.8). Although the squad was unable to come away with their first win of the season, the four-year captain between the posts captured a different win. The South Burlington, Vt. native became the first player in program history to reach 500 saves in a career. She sits 23 saves away from 600, currently, and would need to average 11.5 saves per game over the final two contests to reach the second milestone.
FINELLI'S STELLAR START
With a career-high six points (2g, 4a) in the River Hawks win against CCSU (3.28),
Kendyl Finelli registered her 35th point of the season, breaking
Jane Dudley's 34 points set last season. The Southborough, Mass. native has now registered 50 points this season and with two games still remaining, the junior is on pace to register 57 points this season.
SCORING STREAK
Kendyl Finelli tallied two points against Harvard (4.11), giving her a scoring streak of 13 games before she failed to register a point against UAlbany (4.14). The 13 game scoring streak was the longest in program history.
DOMINANT GOALIES
Courtney Barrett and
Renee Gonzalez have both seen dominate performances between the posts this season. Gonzalez stopped a career-high 14 shots in the season opener against Boston University (2.21), while Barrett has tallied 15 saves against Harvard (4.11) and Binghamton (4.21) and 14 at Colgate (3.3) this season. Those four performances are tied for second and fifth among the top performances in the America East this season.
LAMBERT MAKES TRIUMPHANT RETURN
With an 8-0 lead in the first half against Hartford (4.7), redshirt-sophomoreÂ
Noelle Lambert returned to the action nearly 20 months after an accident left her sidelined recovering from an above-the-knee amputation to her left leg. The attacker registered three shots-on-goal, with her third chance resulting in a goal.
GOING FOR GO(A)LD
Needing just one goal going into the squad's matchup against Harvard (4.11),
Taylor Sokol captured the program record for most goals scored in a single season after scoring four in the contest. Sokol currently has 30 goals on the season with three games still to go.Â

Taylor Sokol tallied an assist and a late goal to become the first player in program history to register 100 career points.
HATCH DOMINATES ON THE DRAW

Kelly Moran (Newfields, N.H.) tied the program record for draw controls in a game with six,
Erin Hatch (Billerica, Mass.) came out victorious seven times on the draw to set a new program record. The seven draw controls also catapulted her into the team lead, which currently stands at 34.

HAT TRICK PERFORMANCES
One game after
Kendyl Finelli and
Hana Caster teamed up against Wagner (3.11) with each of them scoring a hat trick,
Taylor Sokol,
Kristina Keith and
Kaylan DiModugno each tallied a hat trick in the win over Sacred Heart (3.17). It marked the eighth time in program history that two or more River Hawks have scored hat tricks in the same game, with UMass Lowell holding a slight 5-3 edge in those contests.

Noelle Lambert (Londonderry, N.H.),
Kyra Lowenberg (Amherst, N.H.) and
Caitlin Sanborn (Chelmsford, Mass.) each scored their first goal of the season against Hartford to extend the number of River Hawks to score a goal this season to 14, which breaks the 2016 program record of 12.

The River Hawks have scored at least 10 goals in 15 games since 2015 and holds a 11-4 record in those games.
IMPRESSIVE HOME CROWD
After finishing third in the America East in average attendance last season with 272 attendees, the River Hawks capped off the year with 573 in attendance for Senior Day against Binghamton (4.21). The record crowd saw UMass Lowell's average attendance jump to 326 per game.

Hannah Rose (Framingham, Mass.) was tabbed the America East Rookie of the Week (3.12) for her efforts in leading the squad to a 1-1 week. Rose led all River Hawk rookies with three caused turnovers, while also picking up three ground balls on the defensive end of the field. The midfielder helped the squad pick up its first win of the season against Wagner on Sunday afternoon after tallying two ground balls and a caused turnover.
