SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell owns a 1-3 overall is four games on the young season, coming off a 9-8 loss in the home opener against Monmouth last Saturday.  All three of the River Hawks' losses so far this year have been by one goal.
Junior attackman 
Austin Lane (Aurora, Ont.) and 
Matt Balter (Albany. N.Y.) each recorded two goals apiece, while 
Jack Hinken (Zeeland, Mich.) notched his first career goal in his third career start for the River Hawks. UMass Lowell outshot Monmouth, 24-15 in the game, which included a 13-6 advantage in the first half.
Sophomore faceoff midfielder 
Brett Dattilo (Derry, N.H.) won a season-high 17 of 21 faceoffs (81%) in the home opener. Freshman 
Hunter Braun (Hartland, Mich.) posted six saves in his second career start for the River Hawks, after a school-record 20 saves in his first collegiate start at Siena on February 24th. 
Lane leads the River Hawks' roster with nine goals, while 
Sean Tyrrell (Calgary, Alta.) leads the UMass Lowell roster with 14 points and seven assists. 
SCOUTING THE FRIARS: Providence owns a 3-2 overall record, which includes a perfect 3-0 record at home this year. The Friars are coming off a 10-9 overtime loss at Sacred Heart on Saturday. Austin Goltz, Sean Leahey and Evan McGreen each totaled two goals a piece in the losing effort. 
SCOUTING THE JASPERS: Manhattan is 3-2 overall after starting the season with an 0-2 record. The Jaspers have a Tuesday afternoon matchup at home against No. 8 Virginia before heading up for the matinee on Saturday at UMass Lowell. Manhattan owns a 1-2 road record so far this year. The Jaspers lost their last matchup on February 24th, a 10-9 loss to Bellarmine. Sean MacKinney amassed a game-high four goals in the loss for Manhattan.  Parker Giarratana leads the team with 18 points and 10 goals to go along with eight assists. Michael Zingaro owns a 3-1-0 record (9.85 GAA, .568 save%).
LANE IS GOAL ORIENTED: 
Austin Lane has scored goals in every game for the River Hawks this season, which includes six goals and eight shots on goal in the last two contests. Lane registered a career-high four goals and five points at Siena on February 24th. 
AMERICA EAST LEADERS: Tyrrell's 3.5 points per game is fifth among America East players and his 1.75 assists is tied for second best in the conference. 
Sam Klingsporn's (Aloha, Ore.) nine shots per game leads all America East players. 
Will Puduski's (Westford, Mass.) 5.3 ground balls per game is third best in the conference. UMass Lowell ranks second among AE team in both shots per game (40.8) and shots on goal per game (25.3). The River Hawks also lead America East teams with 67% (6 of 9) conversion rate on extra man opportunities.
