LOWELL, Mass. --Â After 17 non-conference contests to open the season, the UMass Lowell baseball team gets America East play underway with a three-game series against the UAlbany Great Danes.
This set series was supposed to be the River Hawks' home opener, but due to the conditions at LeLacheur Park, the set has been moved to Bill Bek Field on the campus of the University of Rhode Island.Â
UMass Lowell ended its Spring Break trip with a 4-3 record, capped off by a dramatic 7-6 win at James Madison, in which
Russ Olive (Chelmsford, Mass.) hit the go-ahead two-run home run with two outs and two strikes in the top of the ninth inning.
