LOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team fell at home on Wednesday afternoon to Massachusetts, 13-6 in non-conference action at Cushing Field Complex.
The River Hawks drop to 3-4 overall on the year, while the Minutemen improve to 3-4 with the victory.
Senior attackman
Sean Tyrrell (Calgary, Alta.) totaled a team-high four points (1g,3a), while junior
Austin Lane (Aurora, Ont.) registered two goals and eight shots in the losing effort.
The Minutemen held a 7-3 lead at halftime.Â
Senior
Will Puduski (Westford, Mass.) led the way on defense with a team-high five ground balls and three caused turnovers.Â
UMass' Jake Lisauskas totaled four points and a game-high three goals.Â
Freshman
Hunter Braun (Hartland, Mich.) posted 15 saves in his fifth consecutive start, while Hampton Brannon amassed nine saves in his second victory of the season for the Minutemen.Â
UMass Lowell returns to action on Saturday, March 17th at Binghamton in the America East opener. Game time is 1 p.m. at the Bearcat Sports Complex.
