VESTAL, N.Y. – The UMass Lowell women's basketball team dropped its final road contest of the regular season, 52-38, at Binghamton on Saturday.
Brianna Rudolph (Lynn, Mass.) reach double-figures for the fifth straight game with 10 points, while
Paula Lopez (Leon, Spain) grabbed a career-high nine rebounds. The freshman also added five assists and five steals for the River Hawks (4-23, 1-13).
The Bearcats (19-8, 9-4) had three players in double-figures, led by Kai Moon and Alyssa James both scoring 11. Moon also added 10 rebounds for the double-double.
Binghamton ran out to an 8-2 lead, but the River Hawks were able to get with 8-6 with a pair of baskets from
Jennifer Louro (Belmar, N.J.) and
Brianna Rudolph (Lynn, Mass.).
The Bearcats opened a 26-13 advantage, and held the visitors to four points in the second quarter to hold a 31-17 lead at intermission.
UMass Lowell was able to cut the deficit to 37-27 with a 6-0 spurt in the third, but Binghamton was able to pull away.
The River Hawks return to the Tsongas for Senior Night on February 22.
