LOWELL, Mass. – For the second consecutive season, the UMass Lowell men's soccer team will host an America East postseason game as the No. 3 River Hawks welcome the No. 6 UAlbany Great Danes to Cushing Field for the second time this season.
To clinch a top-three seed the River Hawks defeated Hartford, 1-0, on Senior Night and waited for results after the final whistle in Lowell.
Ivan Abramovic (Zagreb, Croatia) sealed the win with his penalty kick goal in the 78th minute.
Tickets
will be cash only and are $8 for adults, $5 for children ($14 and under), and $2 for any America East student-athletes (with valid ID).
STUDENTS ENTER FREE
The $2 entry fee to the UMass Lowell vs. UAlbany matchup has been waived for all UMass Lowell students. The free admission for students has been sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs.
HOME, SWEET HOME
Over the last 25 games at Cushing Field, the hosts are 20-2-3 dating back to 2016, including a 1-1 mark in the postseason.The River Hawks are 29-9-4 in the Mill City since 2014.
REMATCH, PART DEUX
With the Great Danes needing a win in the final game of the season to clinch the final spot in the tournament, the two teams will meet for the second time since meeting in last season's title game. On October 20, the River Hawks knocked off UAlbany, 2-0.
RIVER HAWK LEADERS
Stanley Alves (Minas Gerais, Brazil) enters the postseason pacing the offense (5g, 2a), with a total of 12 points.
