LOWELL, Mass. -- Coming off a split of the first two games of the season, the UMass Lowell women's basketball team wraps up a three-game home stand before heading out on the road for the first time of 2018-19.
Ren'Cia Rolling (Lansing, Ill.) gave the River Hawks their first win of the season with a pull up jumper from the free throw line with eight seconds to play against Saint Peter's to give Head Coach
Tom Garrick his first win with UMass Lowell.
Katherine Smith (Fort Wayne, Ill.) scored a career-high 17 points, including 15 in the first half to lead the way for the hosts.

After her first two games, Ren'Cia Rolling has reached double digits in both contests and leads the River Hawks with 11 assists. The junior is shooting 50 percent from the field and has recorded five steals.
Speeding Up the Fast Break
In the first two games of the season, UMass Lowell has scored eight points on the break, more than doubling last season's average (3.2). The 2017-18 River Hawks only eclipsed eight points three times and matched the output once.
