LOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell women's basketball team heads out on the road for a pair of America East games against UMBC and New Hampshire to wrap up the holiday weekend.

A Look Back
UMass Lowell saw Hartford ride a 22-3 run to take a 33-11 lead at the half, en route to the Hawks 81-42 win on January 10. Kayla Gibbs (Teaneck, N.J.) scored 15 of her 17 points in the second half, and Katie McKie (Austin, Texas) matched her career best with 10 points.

Leading the Flock
The River Hawks are paced by Kayla Gibbs (13.3 ppg) and Paula Lopez (10.5 ppg), while Gibbs is also averaging 9.5 rebounds. Lopez (Leon, Spain) has recorded 37 assists and 22 steals, and Jennifer Louro (Belmar, N.J.) leads the team with her 24 three-point field goals. Angel Agoth (Rochester, Minn.) has registered eight blocks to pace the defense. As a unit, UMass Lowell is shooting 41.1 percent from the field, and 32.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Scouting UMBC
The Retrievers (1-15, 0-3) have lost their lost 13 games since a win against Gettysburg at November 14. Lauren Castaldo leads the team with 12.5 points per game and Janee'e Summers is grabbing 6.2 rebounds per game. UMBC is shooting 34.1 percent from the field and 27.1 percent from three-point range.

Scouting New Hampshire
The Wildcats (11-5, 2-1) have the weekend off before hosting the River Hawks on Monday, and are 6-0 at home this season. Carlie Pogue leads four players in double-figures with 14.9 points per game. Kat Forgarty is scoring 11.2 ppg and grabbing a team-high 6.3 boards. Olivia Healy (13.3 ppg) has recorded 29 steals, while Brittany Lai (11.0 ppg) has dished out 66 helpers. UNH is shooting 40.2 percent from the field, and 26.5 from beyond the arc.

Series History
The River Hawks and Retrievers have each won four games in the series, while the Wildcats have won eight of nine meetings.

Going National
Entering the week, Kayla Gibbs ranks eighth in offensive rebounds per game (4.7), and tied for 17th with eight double-doubles.

Angel Agoth has recorded two blocks in each of the last three contests. She now leads the team with eight rejections.

The Three Is Back
Last season, UMass Lowell recorded its worst three-point shooting season since 2013-14, only connecting at a 29.2 percent clip. So far in 2017-18, the River Hawks are shooting 32.9 percent to pace the America East.

Full Team Effort
For the third time in Division I, every River Hawk player that entered the Cornell contest scored. The previous two times for UMass Lowell happened against Longwood in 2016-17 and Holy Cross in 2015-16. The River Hawks are 1-2 in these meetings.
