LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell men's lacrosse team will play host to the German Men's National Team for an exhibition at Cushing Field on October 9th.
"This will be a great athletic and cultural event for our guys," explained Men's Lacrosse Head Coach
Ed Stephenson. "We will face a strong German team preparing for the World Games this summer in Israel. Their team will be comprised of many post-graduates and experienced international players."
The contest, which takes place at 7:00 p.m. on Columbus Day, will also help raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Treatment and Research Institute. A table for donations will be set up at the entrance.
"We are looking forward to raising funds and awareness for the Dana-Farber Cancer Treatment and Research Institute," furthered Stephenson. "This cause is especially close to our River Hawk Lacrosse Family."
Fans will be able to get a look at the completed 2018 roster, which includes 14 new student-athletes, who reign from six different states.
