Head Coach Ed Stephenson Announces 2018 Roster

LOWELL, Mass. – UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse Head Coach Ed Stephenson announced the addition of 13 newcomers to the River Hawks for the 2018 season.
 
The 13 newcomers mark Stephenson's fourth recruiting class and includes eight student-athletes on offense with Domenic Giachello (Somers, Conn.), Gus Gobiel (Billerica, Mass.), Cameron Kranich (Hamden, Conn.), Kyle Laforge (Tyingsboro, Mass.), Jake Lining (Rochester, Mich.), Ryan Morley (Hamden, Conn.), Harrison Morrill (Hyde Park, Mass.), Jacob Zablocki (Dudley, Mass.), as well as three defensemen: Jack Hinken (Zeeland, Mich.), Cameron Richard (Derry, N.H.), Tyler Ward (Millersville, Md.) and goalies Hunter Thomas Braun (Hartland, Mich.) and Connor Laird (Austin, Texas). After a walk-on tryout, freshman Mike Pigeon (Canton, Mass.) secured a spot on the 2018 roster, as well.
 
"This is our most athletic and talented class thus far, but most importantly they are exceptional students," elated Stephenson. "I'm so proud of these guys, they have distinguished themselves on and off the field.  Many of these student-athletes will be receiving academic scholarships as well as athletic scholarships."
