SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell enters the weekend with a 3-8 overall record, after a pair road losses at Harvard (3-0) and Northeastern (3-0). Katherine Claybaugh (Danville, Calif.) and Grace Burkett (Lakeside, Calif.) each notched six kills apiece in the loss to the Huskies on Sunday. Burkett's six kills set a new career-high for the freshman middle blocker. Claybaugh led the team last week with 21 kills, while Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glen, Ill.) totaled 22 digs in two matches. 

Claybaugh leads the team with 101 kills and 2.97 kills per set. Freshman middle blocker Ariel Dulaney (Bay Minette, Ala.) leads the team with 18 total blocks (1s,17a) through 11 matches. UMass Lowell as a team ranks third among AE teams with 1.44 service aces per set. 

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS: New Hampshire owns a 5-9 overall record, after winning three matches last weekend hosting the Holly Young Invitational with victories against Siena (3-0), Rhode Island (3-2) and Dartmouth (3-0). The Wildcats own a 0-4 record on the road to date. Kennedi Smith recorded a match-high 17 kills in the win over Dartmouth on Saturday night. Smith leads the team with 154 kills on the season. 

SCOUTING THE EAGLES: Coppin State enters the weekend with a 0-14 overall record and a 0-5 record on the road. The Eagles are coming off a 3-0 loss vs. UNC-Ashville last Saturday. Bailee Jackson recorded a team-high 18 kills and 17 digs in the losing effort for Coppin State. Asia Stennis leads the Eagles with 96 kills on the season. 

LAST TIME OUT: The River Hawks dropped a 3-0 decison at Northeastern on Sunday afternoon at the Cabot Center in Boston, Mass.

HOME SWEET HOME: The River Hawks will play its season and America East opener at the Costello Athletic Center on Friday against New Hampshire. It marks the first of eight matches in the friendly confines of Costello for UMass Lowell Volleyball. 

AMERICA EAST LEADERS: Sophomore outside hitter Madi Bell (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) ranks fourth in America East with a .267 hitting percentage, while Katherine Claybaugh's 3.06 kills per set is also fourth in the league. Delaney Mendez's (Phoenix, Ariz.) 8.16 assists per set is fourth best among conference setters, while Erica Cappellino's (Penfield, N.Y.) 0.46 service aces per set is the best average amongst AE players. Lindsey Visvardis' 4.33 digs per set is third best among America East defensive players.
