Box Score HANOVER, N.H. – A first-half score was the difference as the UMass Lowell men's soccer team (4-2-1) fell, 1-0, at Dartmouth (4-2) on Wednesday night.
The Big Green opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Justin Donawa completed the breakaway by just sliding the ball around
Austin Kroll and slotted the ball into the open net.
UMass Lowell's best opportunity of the opening frame came in the 31st minute when
Dario Jovanovski (Zagreb, Croatia) sent
Jakov Basic's (Zagreb, Croatia) free kick off the cross bar.
Kroll made four stops in the first half, including a kick stop in the 41st minute to keep the deficit at one.
Alejandro Osorio (Hollywood, Fla.) registered the only shot on goal for the River Hawks, as he tried a near corner attempt in the 59th minute.
Dartmouth attempted 18 shots, with Kroll making five saves in net. The Big Green also held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
UMass Lowell continues its road swing with a 12 p.m. matchup in Akron on September 24.
