LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's soccer team (1-0-2) heads to Colgate on Thursday, August 31 before returning to Cushing Field to face Sacred Heart on Sunday, September 3.

Scouting Colgate (0-3-0)
The Raiders are coming off a 5-1 loss to Boston College on Sunday. Sophomore Mara Consentino scored the only goal for the squad. Sophomore Leah Lewis enters the matchup with two points from a goal scored against New Hampshire. Sophomore Kelly Chiavaro has recorded nine saves in her three games in net, and carries a .474 save percentage and a 3.45 goals-against average.

Scouting Sacred Heart (0-2-0)
The Pioneers will play three away matches this week at Yale, Army West Point and UMass Lowell. Sacred Heart will not play a home game, either, until the squad hosts Hartford after the trip to Lowell. Juniors Melanie DaSilva and Alex Mesropyan have each tallied a goal in their losses to fellow America East foes Vermont and New Hampshire. Junior goalkeeper Nicole Sambuco has stopped 13 shots and owns a .765 save percentage and 2.00 goals against average.

The River Hawks and Pioneers will meet for the fifth time in school history. UMass Lowell owns a 1-3-0 record against Sacred Heart. They will play for the first time since the 2013 season when the Pioneers took home a 5-1 win.
