HANOVER, N.H. -- The UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team was defeated by Dartmouth College, 14-8 on Tuesday night in non-conference action at Scully-Fahey Field.Â
With the loss, the River Hawks drop to 2-11 overall, while the Big Green improve to a 2-8 mark on the season.
Chris Litchfield (Burlington, Mass.) recorded two goals, while freshman
Daniel Cozzi (Reading, Mass.) tallied the first two goals of his collegiate career in the losing effort.Â

Brandon Beland (Granite Bay, Calif.) notched his third career goal to open the scoring for the River Hawks and cut Dartmouth's lead to 5-1.
Keenan Koswin's (Winnipeg, Man.) goal made it a 5-3 game with 1:20 left in the first quarter. Junior attackman
Sean Tyrrell (Calgary, Alta.) scored his 14th goal of the season with less than four minutes left to make it an 8-4 score in favor of Dartmouth at halftime.Â
The River Hawks held a 46-33 shot advantage in the game, which included a 26-13 edge in the second half.Â
Ben Martin paced the Big Green offense with a game-high seven goals. George Christopher stopped 14 shots in the victory for Dartmouth.Â
