BOSTON - The UMass Lowell Hockey team dropped a 9-3 decision at Boston University on Saturday night in Hockey East play at Agganis Arena.
The River Hawks drop to 9-8-0 overall (6-6-0 HEA), while the Terriers improved to 8-10-1 overall and 6-6-1 in conference play with the victory.
UMass Lowell got goals from
Charlie Levesque (Russell, Ont.),
Connor Wilson (Calgary, Alta) and
Kenny Hausinger (Anchorage, Alaska), as the River Hawks scored one goal in each period of play.Â
Jordan Greenway posted his first career hat trick for the Terriers, while Patrick Harper also added two goals in the victory. BU opened the scoring in the game woth a 2-0 lead in the first 4:09 of the game.Â
Sophomore goaltender
Tyler Wall (Leamington, Ont.) stopped 27 shots in his sixth start of the season, while BU's Jake Oettinger had 15 saves in his seventh win of the season.Â
UMass Lowell returns to action on Friday, December 29th against ECAC foe Harvard in the opening game of the Catamount Cup. Game time is 4 p.m. from Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington, Vt.
