LOWELL, Mass. --
The UMass Lowell women's basketball team goes for its third straight win at home, as the River Hawks welcome the Massachusetts Minutewomen to Costello Athletic Center on Wednesday night. The contest is the second half of a double header with the men's team, and marks the last game for UMass Lowell before the holiday break.

Battle of the Bay State
This is the second ever meeting between the two system schools. The Minutewomen took the first meeting, 84-58, back in 2015.

1K Watch
Kayla Gibbs (Teaneck, N.J.) enters the game with 988 career points, as she looks to become the first player to score 1,000 points in Division I for the River Hawks.

A Look Back
For the first time in program history, UMass Lowell was defeated by FDU, 60-51, to wrap up the road swing. Kayla Gibbs recorded her seventh straight double-double with a 11-point, 12-rebound performance. Paula Lopez dished out a career-high six assists in contest.

Leading the Flock
The River Hawks are paced by Kayla Gibbs (15.1 ppg) and Paula Lopez (11.2 ppg), while Gibbs is also averaging 11.3 rebounds following seven straight double-doubles. Lopez (Leon, Spain) has recorded 27 assists and 19 steals, and Jennifer Louro (Belmar, N.J.) leads the team with her 15 three-point field goals. As a unit, UMass Lowell is shooting 42.6 percent from the field, and 33.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Double-Double Trouble
With her current double-double streak at seven, Kayla Gibbs has three of the top four longest double-double streaks in the program's Division I history. She recently passed her own four-game mark set last year.

Genesis Rivera (15.5 ppg), Bre Hampton-Bey (12.2 ppg) and Maggie Mulligan (10.9 ppg) round out the group.
