WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- The UMass Lowell Volleyball team fell at Hartford in straight sets in the season finale on Sunday afternoon at Chase Family Arena. The set scores were 25-21, 25-21 and 25-19.Â
The River Hawks finish the season with a 5-21 overall record, while Hartford ends the year at 6-20 overall (3-9 AE).Â
UMass Lowell was paced offensively by sophomore outside hitter Madi Bell (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) recorded a team-high nine kills to go along with a .438 hitting percentage in the losing effort. Junior middle blocker
Lade Adeniyi (Springfield, Ill.) and sophomore outside hitter Katherine Claybaugh (Danville, Calif.) each chipped in with five kills apiece.Â
Defensive specialist
Malorie McIver (Austin, Texas) and outside hitter Masha Yelsukova (Santa Clara, Calif.) played in the last collegiate match of their River Hawk careers. McIver totaled a team-high eight digs, while Yelsukova ended the match with four kills.Â
Freshman middle blocker Grace Burkett (Lakeside, Calif.) totaled a match-high four total blocks. Junior libero
