LOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell volleyball team fell in straight sets to UAlbany on Friday night at the Costello Athletic Center in conference play. The set scores were 25-15, 25-21, and 25-18.
With the result, the River Hawks drop to 5-16 overall, and 0-8 in America East play, while the Great Danes improve to 7-13 and 7-1 in the league.

Katherine Claybaugh (Danville, Calif.) and
Madi Bell (Port St. Lucie, Fla.)Â recorded eight and five kills, respectively, to lead the squad offensively.
Senior
Malorie McIver (Austin, Texas) and junior
Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glenn, Ill.) each tallied nine digs on the defensive side of the net.
Sophomore
McKenna Bova (Corona, Calif.) and junior
Delaney Mendez (Phoenix, Ariz.) notched 12 and nine assists, respectively.
UMass Lowell hit a team-high nine kills as a team and hit .056 in the second set.
The River Hawks will play in their home finale at Costello Athletic Center on Saturday, October 28 against Binghamton at 5:00 p.m. The squad will honor seniors McIver and Masha Yelsukova (Santa Clara, Calif.) in a pregame ceremony.
