River Hawk Rewind
UMass Lowell owns an 8-10 overall record so far in 2017, including a 2-5 mark in America East action, after dropping a pair of league games last week. The team first faced a hard-fought, 2-1 setback at Maine on Oct. 20. Then despite three, second-half goals at New Hampshire on Oct. 22, the River Hawks were handed a 4-3 loss in Durham, N.H. against the Wildcats.

Tournament Time
The River Hawks were selected to host the 2017 America East Field Hockey Championship from November 2-5 at Wicked Blue Field in Lowell. The tournament will feature all four teams from the league's West Division, in addition to the top four seeds in the East Division. UMass Lowell officially clinched the No. 4 seed in the East on Friday afternoon, although a complete tournament bracket will be released following Sunday's games.

Around the League
The River Hawks currently lead the America East with 140 saves and 107 corners so far. Individually, Anouk Lalande is third for goals (12).

Three Cheers
The River Hawks picked up three consecutive overtime wins for the first time in program history from Sept. 1-8. All of the decisions ended in a 2-1 score, as the team defeated both Miami (Ohio) and Ball State in a single extra period before outlasting Georgetown in a hard-fought outing that went to a sudden-death shootout. The Georgetown match marked the first time the River Hawks have gone to a shootout since 2011.

Over and Over and Over Again
UMass Lowell has now battled its opponents into overtime during six games in 2017, coming out on top in four of those contests. This marks the most overtime games in a season since 1990.
