SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell enters Friday's match with a 5-14 overall mark (0-6 AE) after two home losses to Hartford (3-2) and UMBC (3-0) last weekend in America East contests. UMass Lowell owns a 0-6 road record this season and have five road matches remaining in the 2017 season. 

Sophomore outside hitter Katherine Claybaugh (Danville, Calif.) leads the team with a single-season career-high 217 kills and 3.39 kills per set. Claybaugh has posted 12 kills in seven of the last eight matches for the River Hawks. Visvardis paces the defensive side of the court with 312 digs and 4.52 digs per set, along with 19 service aces. Junior middle blocker Lade Adeniyi's (Springfield, Ill.) 46 total blocks (10s,36a) leads the River Hawks. Junior setter Delaney Mendez's (Phoenix, Ariz.) 386 assists and 6.77 assists per set are best on the team.

The River Hawks as a team rank third in America East with 1.44 service aces per set and their opponents .198 hitting percentage also ranks third among conference teams.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS: New Hampshire owns a 9-11 overall record (4-2) coming into Friday's contest at home. The Wildcats own a 6-1 record in seven matches at Lundholm Gymasium this season. UNH is 3-2 in its last five matches, which includes a 3-0 win vs. Hartford on Saturday. Kennedi Smith and Emily Tanksi each notched 10 kills in the match for the Wildcats in the victory. Smith leads the team with 229 kills on the season. Logan Welti leads the way with 334 digs on the defensive side for New Hampshire.

The River Hawks fell to UNH, 3-2 in the first meeting of the season series on Friday, Sept. 22nd at Costello Athletic Center. Claybaugh and Madi Bell (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) each has 15 kills apiece in the losing effort, while Visvardis amassed 22 digs for UMass Lowell. 

LAST TIME OUT: The River Hawks fell to UMBC in straight sets on Sunday afternoon at Costello Athletic Center. The set scores were 22-25, 18-25 and 20-25.  Sophomore outside hitter Katherine Claybaugh (Danville, Calif.) registered a match-high 13 kills to go along with 12 digs. Freshman middle blocker Grace Burkett (Lakeside, Calif.) amassed a career-high 10 kills with a .217 hitting percentage in the losing effort for UMass Lowell.  Junior middle blocker Lade Adeniyi (Springfield, Ill.) chipped in with seven kills and two total blocks. Sophomore McKenna Bova (Corona, Calif.) and junior Delaney Mendez (Phoenix, Ariz.) split time running the River Hawks' offense with 20 and 16 assists, respectively. Junior co-captain Lindsey Visvardis (Homer Glen, Ill.) posted a match-high 15 kills leading the River Hawk defense. 

AMERICA EAST LEADERS: Katherine Claybaugh ranks tied for second among league players with 3.39 kills per set and her 3.80 kills per set in AE play leads the league, while Erica Cappellino's 0.39 service aces per set is tied for third among AE players. Lindsey Visvardis' 4.46 digs per set is the third best total in the conference. Claybaugh's 3.80 kills per set in conference play leads America East and Lade Adeniyi's 0.98 blocks per set in tied for fourth in the conference, while her 1.40 blocks per set in AE matches ranks second among league players.
