LOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell women's basketball team hosts its third annual Health and Fitness Field Trip Day, as the New Hampshire Wildcats come to town for the morning tip at the Tsongas Center. The day is presented by Align Credit Union, Lowell General Hospital and Collins Dentistry for Children.

Last Time Out
The River Hawks saw an 11-point, 55-44, lead with under 13 minutes to go slip away in the final minutes, as UMBC took a 71-68 lead with 2:06 to go. For the first time all season, UMass Lowell had five players reach double-digits, led by
Megan Hendrick's (Alexandria, Va.) 18 points.
Kayla Gibbs (Teaneck, N.J.) recorded her seventh double-double of the season and extended her double figure scoring streak to 17 games, with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Leading the Flock
In the midst of reaching double-digits in 17 consecutive games,
Kayla Gibbs leads the team with 13.1 points, and is snagging a team-high 8.2 boards per game, with 48 assists.
Tyshay Britten (Norristown, Pa.) has a team-high 13 blocks and
Nicole Hayner (Bedford, N.H.) is connecting on 36.8 on her three-point attempts. UMass Lowell is shooting at a 39.3 percent clip from the field, and connecting on 29.7 percent from beyond the arc.
Scouting New Hampshire
The Wildcats (16-3, 6-0) are riding a 10-game win streak after knocking off Hartford, 58-50, on January 22. Carlie Pogue leads four players in double-digits with 14.5 points, and has a team-high 7.2 rebounds per game. Brittni Lai adds 12.9 points per game, while Kat Fogarty and Olivia Healy are contributing 11.2 and 10.6 respectively. New Hampshire has connected on 40.1 percent from the field, and 32.1 percent from three-point range.
Streaking Til 17
With her 17-point performance at UMBC,
Kayla Gibbs has now scored 10 or more points in 17 consecutive games, setting a new program mark in the Division I era. Last season,
Lindsey Doucette accomplished the feat in 16 straight contests.
Party of Five
In the loss at UMBC, the River Hawks had five or more players in double figures for the first time all season. It was only the second time in Division I UMass Lowell accomplished the feat, and first time since 2014 against Mt. Ida.
Conference Board Meeting
Kayla Gibbs ranks atop the America East in total rebounding through seven games of conference play. Gibbs is grabbing 10.6 boards per game, leading the conference with 3.4 offensive boards per game and 7.1 defensive.
Tyshay Britten is fourth in the rankings with 2.7 boards on the offensive glass. Gibbs' 18-rebound performance against Binghamton is the best single-game mark in the conference this season.
Ain't No Party Like a Tsongas Center Party
The River Hawks are 7-7 all-time in games played at the Tsongas Center, with a 5-6 record in the Division I era. Last season, the loss against Binghamton snapped UMass Lowell's four-game winning streak in the building, scoring 71.7 points per game in the streak. Overall, the River Hawks are averaging 66.9 points in the team's second home.
50 Times 6
For only the sixth time in the Division I era, the River Hawks grabbed over 50 rebounds, snagging 51 in the loss against Binghamton. The single-game high since 2013 is 57, set on January 18, 2015.
Free Points
For the second time this season the River Hawks connected on 20 free throws, going 20-of-34 in the win against Colgate. On December 2, the team went 20-of-22 (90.9%) from the free throw line at Columbia. That was the most free throws UMass Lowell has hit in a single game since going 21-of-26 against UMBC in 2014.
H Squared for Three!
The sharpshooting duo of
Megan Hendrick and
Nicole Hayner have combined for 62 of UMass Lowell's 97 three-pointers, shooting 32.9 percent from beyond the arc. Hendrick's five triples at Towson were the most in a single contest since Hayner hit five last season against Maine. In 2015-16 Hayner led the team with 46 three-pointers and a 39.7 percentage. She ranked third in the America East with in percentage and fourth in triples made per game with 2.0.
Do You Even Bench
Through 20 games, the River Hawks' reserves have scored 325 points and have outscored the opponents' bench seven times, coming off a season-high 29 against Keene State. Last season the River Hawks' bench scored 341 points, and outscored opponents 12 times.

The River Hawks have used seven different starting lineups through the first 20 games of the season.
