LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell (18-31) baseball team faced a 15-4 setback to the Bryant Bulldogs (40-10) on Tuesday night at LeLacheur Park.

Behind three hits, including a three-run triple from Dan Cellucci, the Bulldogs scored took a 4-0 lead before the River Hawks came to bat. Two home runs in the second opened a 10-0 advantage for the guests.

Ben Prada (Laurel, Md.) got the River Hawks on the board with a bases-loaded RBI single in the bottom of the frame.
Ian Strom (Hopedale, Mass.) drove in
Tyler Noe (Lynnfield, Mass.) with a high grounder to third.

UMass Lowell did all its damage with one out in the inning and loaded the bases behind a walk, hit by pitch and an
Andy Savard (Tyngsboro, Mass.) infield single. The River Hawks added another tally in the seventh behind back-to-back wild pitches to plate
Steve Passatempo (Medford, Mass.).
In the Bryant half of the third,
Joe Consolmagno (Worcester, Mass.) recorded his 10th outfield assist of the season, tied for first in the nation, throwing out Zach Wood at home.

Marchena added a hit and RBI to his line in the ninth with a RBI double to left center.
Matt Kerin (Quincy, Mass.) and
Max Frawley (Billerica, Mass.) combined for five innings, only allowing two runs.
Ricky Constant (Nashua, N.H.) struck out three of the four batters he saw in the ninth.

The River Hawks stole five bases in the contest, with Sharpe accounting for a pair. Four of the swipes came on a pair of successful double steals.

Four Bulldogs had three hits and a trio had three RBI. Buck McCarthy scored three times, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, and Robby Rinn had three hits, scored twice and added three RBI.
