LOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell Men's Lacrosse team defeated Dartmouth College, 11-10, on Tuesday night at Cushing Field Complex in non-conference action.
With the victory, the River Hawks improve to 3-11 overall, while Dartmouth falls to 1-11 overall.

Nicholas Pino (North Andover, Mass.) finished the game with his second career hat trick to lead the way for the River Hawks, while sophomore attackman
Sean Tyrrell (Calgary, Alberta) finished with a team-high four points (1g,3a) for UMass Lowell.
Sophomore attackman Matt Balter (West Sand Lake, N.Y.) opened the scoring the second half for the River Hawks just 1:04 into the third quarter. Jack Korzelius and Wiley Osborne scored two goals 10 seconds apart at 6:36 and 6:26 to cut UMass Lowell's lead to 8-7. Freshman
Ryan Morrison (Uxbridge, Ontario) added to the River Hawks' lead at 9-7 with 5:42 left in the third with his second goal of the game, which was a new career-high. Dartmouth battled back with three of the next four goals to make it a 10-10 contest with 9:06 left in the game. Pino scored the game-winning tally with 7:47 left in the fourth quarter to seal the win for the River Hawks.
Wiley Osborne opened the scoring in the second quarter at 12:12 for his 19
th of the season to give the Big Green at 3-2 advantage. The River Hawks then scored four straight goals in a span of 3:32 with tallies from Tyrrell,
Jon Phillips (Delta, B.C.), Pino and Morrison to make it a 6-3 contest in favor of the River Hawks. Jack Korzelius scored at 4:51 for Dartmouth to make in a 6-4 game, then Balter increased the River Hawks lead to 7-4 with a highlight reel behind-the-back goal for his 17
th of the season. Korzelius capped the scoring the first half with his second goal of the game with 1:26 left in the first half for the Big Green. UMass Lowell held a 7-5 lead on Dartmouth at halftime.
Dartmouth struck first just 1:11 into the game on a goal by K.C. Beard. Will Randell gave the Big Green a 2-0 lead at 4:46 of the opening quarter with his fourth tally of the season. Pino got the River Hawks on the board at 4:02 for his fifth goal of the season. Phillips scored a man up goal to tie the game at 2-2 to close out the scoring in the opening quarter at 2:59.
Freshman goalkeeper
Grant Lardieri (Ada, Mich.) stopped 14 shots for the River Hawks in his third win of the season, while Joe Balaban recorded six saves in the loss for the Big Green.
Dartmouth held a 39-26 shot advantage in the game against the River Hawks.
The River Hawks return to action on Sunday, April 24
th against UMBC in the America East regular-season finale. Game time is 1:30 p.m. from Cushing Field Complex in Lowell, Mass.
