SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: The River Hawks will be playing their first weekday game in nearly a month, coming off of a stretch of five straight Saturday America East games. In their last game, a 15-7 loss to #14 Stony Brook, the River Hawks spread the ball around, with seven players scoring points. 
Brandon Luitwieler (Calgary, Alberta) led the River Hawks picking up a season high three points {2g, 1a} as he continues to expand his role in the offensive game plan. Another young player making a name for himself as of late is goaltender 
Gregory Ponce (West Islip, N.Y.). The freshman saw his first collegiate action Saturday playing the entire second half, stopping seven of the shots he faced for a 53.8 save percentage.

SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN: Dartmouth comes into Tuesday's game with a 1-10 record, their one win coming against Big 10 foe Michigan. The Big Green are a disciplined team, committing only three and a half penalties a game. Dartmouth and UMass Lowell share four common opponents; both lost to sixth ranked Yale and to Vermont. Dartmouth dropped a 7-6 matchup to Wagner, who the River Hawks beat for their second win of the season. Dartmouth also fell against NJIT, who UMass Lowell will play a week from Satruday.

SCOUTING THE RETRIEVERS: Like the River Hawks, UMBC has a busy week, hosting 16
th ranked Penn on Tuesday before heading to Lowell for Sunday's matchup. The River Hawks and Retrievers will both be going for their first conference win on Sunday, the Retrievers picked up the win in last years matchup; their only America East victory. You won't see UMBC make many mistakes, they have committed the fewest penalties of any team in the conference. A defensively patient yet disruptive unit, they are second in turnovers caused per game in the America East, and even when teams get shots off, they have the third most saves, averaging 11 per contest.
