LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's basketball team heads on the road for two games, taking on the Stony Brook Seawolves in a Saturday afternoon matinee on February 6 at 2 p.m.

Looking at the River Hawks
Behind a career-high 28 points, Lindey Doucette (Hopkinton, Mass.) notched her 1000th career point to help the River Hawks overcome a five-point deficit in the fourth quarter and Nicole Hayner (Bedford, N.H.) connected on an off-balance three-pointer with 6.9 clicks on the clock to force overtime at 63-63. Hartford outscored UMass Lowell 12-7 in the extra period to hold on for the 75-70 win. Hayner added 19 points, and Kayla Gibbs (Teaneck, N.J.) chipped in 10. The River Hawks shot a season-high 58.3 percent (31-53) from the field, but the Hawks connected on 17-of-27 free throws compared to UMass Lowell shooting 2-of-4.

Leading the Flock
The UMass Lowell offense is led by a trio of players averaging double-digits this season. Doucette is controlling the attack with 14.4 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Gibbs is scoring 12.5 points per game with 8.1 rebounds, while Hayner is scoring 11.6 points. Asia Mitchell-Owens is connecting on 39.2 percent (31-79) of her three-point attempts, and Melissa Frase (Tamworth, N.H.) has dished out 70 (3.3 Ast/Game) assists to facilitate the offense. On the defensive side of the ball, Doucette has 15 blocks and 24 steals. As a unit, UMass Lowell is shooting 469-of-1173 (40.0%) from the field and 32.7 percent (113-346) from three-point range.

Scouting Stony Brook
The Seawolves enter the weekend sitting at 14-8 overall and 6-3 in America East play, following their 54-47 loss at Binghamton on Feb. 3. Brittany Snow leads a trio of players scoring 10 or more points, putting up 15.5 per game. Davion Wingate and Ogechi Anyagaligbo are scoring 10.8 and 10.7, respectively. Anyagaligbo leads the team and conference with 9.5 rebounds per game, and she has recorded 20 blocks. Kori Bayne-Walker helps facilitate the offense, dishing out 56 assists, and Chrstine Scognamiglio has 46 steals. As a squad, the Seawolves are shooting at a 41.2 percent (489-1188) clip from the field, and are 88-of-328 (26.8%) from three-point range.

1000-Point Club
Doucette became the 15th player in program histroy to eclipse the 1000-point plataue, with a career-high 28 points against Hartford. With 303 points this season, the senior has 1,009 in her career. Doucette has set a career-high with 130 field goals this season, and is on pace to set a personal best in points in a season (308).

Always a Threat from Deep
As a unit, the River Hawks are leading the league shooting 32.7 percent from downtown, and are third averaging 5.4 makes per game. Last season, UMass Lowell led the league in three-point shooting with a 33.2 3FG% and averaged 6.8 makes per game.

Balling in the America East
The River Hawks are third the in the conference with a 73.4 free throw percentage, and in third with 12.0 offensive rebounds. UMass Lowell is fourth averaging 59.6 points and shooting 40.0 percent from the field. The team sits in fourth with a rebounding margin of +1.6 and 11.7 assists per game.

Spreading the Wealth
The River Hawks have had 11 games with three or more scorers in double figures. In three of the 11, UMass Lowell has had four players with 10 or more points.

Controlling the Glass
