SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: The River Hawks enter the game 0-3 and are coming off a quick turnaround, the team played at Siena on Saturday, falling 11-7. UMass Lowell held multiple leads early in the contest, but a 3-0 run by Siena in the end was too much to overcome. The River Hawks continues to expand their offense, with two players scoring for the first time this year. Freshmen Blaine McMahon (New Milford, Conn.) and Austin Lane (Aurora, Ontario) each netter their first career goals in the first quarter. McMahon notched a career and team high three points (2g,1a) in the losing effort. In another freshman milestone, goalie Grant Lardieri (Ada, Mich.) recorded double digit saves for the first time, stopping 11 shots.

The River Hawks have scored seven goals in each of their last two games, five of those coming from junior Sam Klingsporn (Aloha, Ore.) who has a team high 10 points (9g,1a) on the season. The River Hawk defense is led by sophomore Will Puduski (Westford, Mass.) who has forced a team-high eight turnovers, and has scooped up seven ground balls. The River Hawks are 0-2 on the road so far this year, they follow the Fairfield game with a two-game home stand against Jacksonville on Saturday and Manhattan on March 12th at Cushing Field Complex.

SCOUTING THE STAGS: Fairfield comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Their most recent defeat came Saturday, a 12-6 loss to Rutgers. The Stags are led offensively by Charlie Schnider. The raining CAA All-Second Team midfielder can be tough to guard given his equal ability to score on his own or create off the pass. He has a team high 12 points {6g,6a}. Fairfield's primary goaltender is Tyler Behring, who has started all three games so far this year, sporting an 11.44 GAA and has stopped 59% of the shot he's faced. The teams have met once before, an 11-5 Stags win at Lowell last March.

SCOUTING THE DOLPHINS: The Dolphins will bring a 2-2 record into Lowell, their most recent game an 18-5 loss at the hands of No. 4 Duke. Senior Dakota Rohlin is the leading scorer (8g,2a), with sophomore Shawn Ewert leading the team is assists {3g, 6a}. Expect Ben Gleichenhaus to get the start in net, the sophomore has started all four games for Jacksonville this year, posting a 2-2 record with a 13.00 GAA, while stopping 59% of shots on the net.
