LOWELL, Mass. – The UMass Lowell women's basketball team hosts its Senior Night and the New Hampshire Wildcats at 7 p.m. from the Tsongas Center. There will be pregame ceremony for the team's two seniors,
Lindsey Doucette (Hopkinton, Mass.) and
Melissa Frase (Tamworth, N.H.). The River Hawks will also be playing their Play 4 Kay game.
Senior NightLindsey Doucette and
Melissa Frase have combined for 217 appearances and 154 starts in a River Hawk uniform. With three games left in their careers, both players are entrenched in the programís record book as well:

Looking at the River HawksThe UMBC Retrievers used a 20-12 first quarter en route to a 68-52 win against the River Hawks on Feb. 14. UMBC's Taylor McCarley and Pandora Wilson scored 30 and 28 points, respectively.
Asia Mitchell-Owens (Roxbury, Mass.) led the UMass Lowell with 15 points, hitting five three-pointers.
Kayla Gibbs (Teaneck, N.J.) and
Nicole Hayner (Bedford, N.H.) each added 12 points, with Hayner recording her 500th career point.
Melissa Frase dished out six assists, as the River Hawks tied a season high with 16 helpers.Â
Leading the FlockThe UMass Lowell offense is led by a trio of players averaging double-digits this season. Doucette is controlling the attack with 13.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. Gibbs is scoring 12.4 points per game with 7.8 rebounds, while Hayner is scoring 12.1 points and hitting 40.3 percent (44-109) of her three-pointers. Frase has dished out 88 (3.5 Ast/Game) assists to facilitate the offense. On the defensive side of the ball, Doucette has 18 blocks and 26 steals. As a unit, UMass Lowell is shooting 555-of-1372 (40.5%) from the field and 33.0 percent (131-397) from beyond the arc.
Scouting New HampshireThe Wildcats are 9-16 overall and 3-9 in America East play coming off their 49-46 win against Stony Brook on Feb. 14. Elizabeth Belanger and Carlie Poque lead the offense with 17.2 and 10.7 points per game, respectively. The duo controls the glass, as well, with Belanger grabbing 7.3 rebounds per game and Poque adding 5.4. Kristen Anderson has dished out 67 assists to facilitate the offense, for an average of 3.4 per game. On the defensive side of the ball, Belanger has 36 steals, while Poque has 18 blocks. As a unit, New Hampshire is shooting 523-of-1376 (38.3 percent) from the field and 27.6 percent (89-322) from beyond the arc.Â
Series HistoryThe Wildcats lead the series, 5-1 with the River Hawks lone win coming last season on Jan. 21 (70-56). New Hampshire won this season's first meeting, 65-61, back on Jan. 21.
1000-Point ClubLindsey Doucette became the 15th player in program history to eclipse the 1000-point plateau, with a career-high 28 points against Hartford. With 339 points this season, the senior has 1,045 in her career. Doucette has set career-highs with 147 field goals and 339 points scored this season, overcoming her total of 308 as a sophomore. Doucette also needs one point to enter the top-10 in all-time scoring (1,046) and with two points she will move into sole possession of 10th. Â
Always a Threat from DeepAs a unit, the River Hawks are leading the league shooting 33.0 percent from downtown, and are third averaging 5.3 makes per game. Last season, UMass Lowell led the league in three-point shooting with a 33.2 3FG% and averaged 6.8 makes per game.
