LOWELL, Mass. -- The UMass Lowell women's basketball team goes for its first win of the season and third consecutive victory against Fairleigh Dickinson, when the Knights come to Costello Athletic Center on Monday night.

Last Time Out
UMass Lowell outscored Columbia, 25-15, in the final quarter but the Lions held on for the 75-56 win. Kayla Gibbs (Teaneck, N.J.) and Nicole Hayner (Bedford, N.H.) led the River Hawk offense with 19 and 14 points, respectively. Gibbs set career highs going 11-of-12 from the free throw line.

Leading the Flock
In the midst of reaching double-digits in five consecutive games, Gibbs leads the team with 11.1 points, and is snagging a team-high 6.3 boards per game, while Tyshay Britten (Norristown, Pa.) has a team-high seven blocks. Hayner has 17 total assists to rank atop the team, and Katherine Smith (Fort Wayne, Ind.) has dished out 14 helpers. UMass Lowell is shooting at a 37.8 percent clip (151-399) from the field, and connecting on 35-of-124 (28.2%) from three-point range.

Scouting Fairleigh Dickinson
The Knights (2-5) have dropped four in a row after starting their season 2-1, including a 80-69 loss to Binghamton on December 2. Brianna Thomas leads the charge with 16.0 points, and Lauren Francillon is grabbing 6.2 rebounds per game. The Knights are shooting 154-453 (34%) from the field, and 26.3 percent (41-156) from beyond the arc.

Series History
The River Hawks have won the only two meetings between the schools, both by 78-67 scores, and erased a 16-point second-half deficit in last year's victory in New Jersey.

Silent Knight
The Knights are the only team on the River Hawks schedule that UMass Lowell has never lost too. FDU is also one of three teams on this year's slate that the River Hawks have a winning mark against in the all-time series (Vermont & UMBC).

Free Points
The River Hawks went 20-of-22 (90.9%) from the free throw line at Columbia. That was the most free throws UMass Lowell has hit in a single game since going 21-of-26 against UMBC in 2014.

H Squared For Three!
The sharpshooting duo of Megan Hendrick (Alexandria, Va.) and Hayner have combined for 26 of UMass Lowell's 35 three-pointers, shooting 34.2 percent from beyond the arc. Hendrick's five triples at Towson were the most in a single contest since Hayner hit five last season against Maine. In 2015-16 Hayner led the team with 46 three-pointers and a 39.7 percentage. She ranked third in the America East with in percentage and fourth in triples made per game with 2.0.

Do You Even Bench?
Through eight games, the River Hawks' reserves have scored 166 points and have outscored the opponents' bench four times. Last season the River Hawks' bench scored 341 points, and outscored opponents 12 times.

Spreading the Wealth
The River Hawks have had three players with 10 or more point in two of their last three contests. Last season, the River Hawks had 13 games with three or more scorers in double figures. In three of the 13, UMass Lowell had four players with 10 or more points.

Sharing is Caring
Through eight games, the River Hawks have recorded 89 assists to rank sixth in the conference with 11.1 per game. In the season-opener at Towson, the River Hawks dished out 20 assists, led by Smith's career-high six. Last season's team only had 20 or more helpers in one game, in the final game at UAlbany.
