CLEARWATER, Fla. – The UMass Lowell softball team wraps up its neutral-site schedule with five games at the Michele Smith Spring Break Tournament this Friday-Sunday, March 13-15.
The River Hawks will take on Saint Joseph's and Colgate in back-to-back games on Friday beginning at 4:15 p.m. The squad will then play two more on Saturday, starting at the same time, against Army and Lehigh. The weekend wraps up with a single game against Northern Illinois on Sunday at 9 a.m.
RIVER HAWK RECAPUMass Lowell owns an 8-7 record so far in 2015. The team has played in three tournaments this season, but has been off since February 22. Most recently, the River Hawks went 4-1 at the EMU Madeira Beach Invitational, defeating Texas State (9-7), Columbia (6-5), North Dakota (6-3) and Siena (7-1) before falling to host Eastern Michigan, 3-0.

Marielle Handley (Durham, Conn.) boasts a 4-3 record with a 3.65 ERA in 46.0 innings pitched. She leads UMass Lowell with 34 strikeouts, as well.
SPEED DEMONSAlly Greene (64) currently sits in third place on the school's all-time record list for stolen bases. She needs just 14 more this season to take over the top spot from Kristine Botto (77, 1998-2001). Classmate
Ariana Darcy is right on Greene's heels with 62 career stolen bases, tying for fourth all-time.
MORE RECORDS TO WATCHDarcy is nearing the top of several other career record lists, as well. She is second overall in walks (67), third in slugging percentage (.563) and triples (16), fourth in on-base percentage (.401) and home runs (19), seventh with 111 runs scored, ninth with 270 total bases and tied for 10th with 92 RBI.
