LOWELL, Mass. - The UMass Lowell men's basketball team, who owns a 12-15 overall record and a 6-8 mark in America East action, hosts New Hampshire for Senior Day on Saturday, February 21 at the Tsongas Center. The game, which will be the squad's home finale, is set for 4:30 p.m. as the second game of a doubleheader with the women's team.

Lance Crawford posted a personal-best 35 points to lead UMass Lowell to an 82-71 victory against the University of Maine (3-23, 2-11) on Wednesday evening. Classmate
Matt Harris added 21 points in the outing, as well. The decision marked the first back-to-back wins for the River Hawks since early December. In addition, the 82-point performance goes down as the most points against a Division I opponent since the 2013-14 season finale, which was also against Maine.

Kerry Weldon helps the team on the glass with 4.6 rebounds per game. As a team, UMass Lowell is shooting 41.4% (575-1388) from the floor and 35.5% (205-578) from beyond the arc. The squad is also shooting 66.3% (305-460) from the line.
SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIREThe Wildcats are 16-10 overall and 9-4 in America East play, and have won eight of their last nine games, including three straight. UNH took a 66-48 decision at Binghamton on Feb. 14 in its most recent outing. Tanner Leissner leads the team in scoring with 13.2 points per game. Jaleen Smith averages in double figures, as well, with 10.1 points, and has a team high 2.6 assists per game. Leisnner also controls the glass, grabbing 7.3 rebounds. As a whole, UNH is shooting 43.5% (605-1392) from the field, and 36.6% (181-494) from three-point range.
ROOKIE RECORDAs of February 20, UMass Lowell was one of only four teams in the nation to have two freshmen as their top two scorers. The River Hawks are joined by the University of Central Florida, Binghamton and Fordham.
PLAYING AT TSONGAS Â UMass Lowell, who is 2-4 all-time at the Tsongas Center, is looking for its first Division I win at the arena. The team defeated NE-10 rival Merrimack in 2010 (71-70) and 2011 (68-66) before falling to Duquesne, New Hampshire and Stony Brook there last season. The River Hawks lost to Vermont, 61-50, earlier this season.
CONFIDENCE BOOSTERLance Crawford becomes UMass Lowell's first 35-point scorer since November 12, 2011 when the River Hawks'
Akeem Williams hit the mark at Division II Bridgeport. Williams would go on to score over 2,000 points in his career.
Matt Harris added 21 points against Maine to log the program's first game with multiple 20-point scorers since January 23, 2013 (Williams and
Antonio Bivins, 21).
UNDER CONTROLThe River Hawks posted a season low for turnovers at Sacred Heart with just six. The team is currently first in the America East with a +1.7 turnover margin.Â
SUPERIOR SUBSAt UMBC on Jan. 7, UMass Lowell's bench players outscored the Retrievers', 51-1, to help the team come back to earn the overtime victory. The River Hawks' reserves have been pivotal this year, outscoring their opponents, 603-460.
STEALING THE SHOWThe River Hawks are first in the AE with 7.1 steals per game. Graduate student
Marco Banegas-Flores, who posted a career-high four steals at Rhode Island and Vermont, is third in the league with 2.0 per game and leads the team with 49 total.Â
