LOWELL, Mass. - The UMass Lowell men's basketball team, who is currently 11-15 overall and 5-8 in America East action, hosts Maine in its second straight home game on Wednesday, February 18 beginning at 7 p.m.

Kerry Weldon helps the team on the glass with 4.5 rebounds per game. As a team, UMass Lowell is shooting 41.2% (548-1331) from the floor and 35.2% (192-546) from beyond the arc. The squad is also shooting 65.3% (290-444) from the line.
SCOUTING MAINEThe Black Bears have only won two games in 2015, sitting at 3-22 overall and 2-10 in America East play. Kevin Little leads a group of four scorers averaging in double figures with 11.5 points per game. Till Gloger is scoring 10.9, while Shawn Lawton and Zarko Valjarevic are both averaging 10 points apiece. Aaron Calixte is dishing out a team-high 3.4 assists. Marko Pirovic controls the glass, grabbing 4.8 rebounds a game. As a unit, Maine is shooting 39.8% (522-1310) from the floor and 32.3% (161-498) from three-point range.
SERIES HISTORYWednesday's contest marks the sixth meeting between UMass Lowell and Maine in the sport of men's basketball. The River Hawks hold a 4-1 edge in the all-time series after picking up a 62-59 victory when the teams met earlier this season on January 13.
ROOKIE RECORDAs of February 9, UMass Lowell was one of only three teams in the nation to have two freshmen as their top two scorers. The River Hawks are joined by the University of Central Florida and Binghamton.
GAME, SET, MATCH ... SURPASSWith the team's 67-51 victory against UMBC on Feb. 5, the River Hawks not only snapped a five-game skid, but also matched their total number of wins from last season. UMass Lowell then defeated Hartford, 69-63, on Feb. 14 to mark its most Division I victories in a season.
