SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS: UMass Lowell enters Friday night's America East match up at Hartford with a 3-15 overall record (0-2 AE), after suffering a 3-0 loss in its most recent match to Stony Brook on Sunday at Costello Athletic Center. The River Hawks owned a 1-2 record in three matches last week, which included a 3-0 victory against Bryant on Tuesday night at Costello Athletic Center. UMass Lowell ranks second as a team in blocks per set at 1.95.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS:
Hartford - The Hawks (0-17, 0-3 AE) are still looking for their first win of 2015, as they host the River Hawks. Last week, Hartford fell in three straight sets to Binghamton on Oct. 2, before falling to Albany on Oct. 4, 3-0. Outside Hitter Paulina Modestow leads the team with 132 kills and 12 services aces, while Astrid Manqual has recorded a team-high 277 assists. Middle Blockers Alyse Wenzel and Kathryn Gawrych have tallied 30 blocks apiece.

New Hampshire - The Wildcats (11-7, 3-0 AE) come into the week riding a five-game win streak, and have not lost a set since Sept. 20. New Hampshire swept Albany, 3-0, on Oct. 2, followed by a 3-0 decision against Binghamton on Oct. 4. Junior Keelin Severtson leads the squad in service aces (33) and assists (570), as fellow junior Demi Muses has a team best 191 kills, and 43 blocks. UNH is the reigning back-to-back America East Tournament Champions.

THOUGHTS FROM RESA: "The more I reflected on last weekend, the more excited I was about our team, I went back and looked back at all the good that we did and some of the stuff that we worked on really came through, so I am excited to see if we can keep that going," said Head Coach Resa Provanzano. "On the road in conference is tough, we will have to talk a lot about how we prepare and take care of ourselves, the team is looking forward to being on the road."

AMERICA EAST LEADERS: Junior mibble blocker Lauren Bennett ranks second in America East with a .296 hitting percentage and 1.02 blocks per set. Freshman libero Lindsey Visvardis' 3.77 digs per set rank fourth best among conference players. Freshman middle blocker Lade Adeniyi (Springfield, Ill.) ranks fourth in America East with 0.86 blocks per set.
