LOWELL, Mass. – UMass Lowell released its complete 2014-15 women's basketball schedule on Thursday in conjunction with the announcement by the America East Conference of the full league schedule.

Head Coach Jenerrie Harris' first slate of games at the helm begins with a challenging non-conference schedule prior to the team's 16 AE conference games. The first-year coach will have the benefit of playing 16 games at home while playing just 13 road games. Three of those home games will be played at the Tsongas Center.

"I'm really excited about my first season here and getting things started," said Harris. "Our non-conference schedule will challenge our team and will better prepare us for America East play."

The River Hawks will open the season on November 14 when they face Notre Dame, last year's NCAA national runner-up. Upon their return, the team will play four straight home games against Rhode Island (Nov. 19), Central Connecticut State (Nov. 22), Mount Ida (Nov. 24) and Fairleigh Dickinson (Nov. 30).

Following the four-game homestand, the River Hawks will take to the road for a pair against Columbia (December 3) and Providence (Dec. 6) before returning to Lowell to face Yale (Dec. 8) and Bryant (Dec. 10).

Prior to conference play, the team will face Atlantic Coast Conference power Duke (Dec. 19) and Holy Cross of the Patriot League (Dec. 22) on the road before hosting St. Francis Brooklyn (Dec. 30).

The AE portion of the schedule begins in Vestal, N.Y. where the River Hawks will take on Binghamton on January 3. Next the River Hawks will entertain UMBC (Jan. 8) at the Tsongas Center and UAlbany (Jan. 11) at Costello Athletic Center.

"We are ecstatic to be playing three games at the Tsongas Center," added Harris. "We are fortunate to have one of the best facilities in the conference and we look forward to utilizing such a great venue."

The River Hawks will host league foes Hartford (Jan. 17), Stony Brook (Jan. 22), Vermont (Jan. 25), Binghamton (February 1), Maine (Feb. 11) and New Hampshire (Feb. 21). The games against the Catamounts and Wildcats will also be played at the Tsongas Center.

"The America East is a tough conference and we're looking forward to building the program to be able to competitive once we are eligible for tournament play," said Harris.

The team will conclude their season at home on senior night in a non-conference bout against NJIT on March 3.

Harris and the team welcome four freshmen to last year's squad that finished 5-23 overall and 4-12 in America East play.
