Bobby Robins makes long-awaited NHL debut

At age 32, Robins made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins last night vs. Philadelphia

BOSTON –
Bobby Robins made a list of goals.

He had just played two years in Europe and was debating whether or not to give up on his pursuit of the NHL.

It's a good thing he didn't.

Five years after penning that list of goals, one he still has tucked into his notebook of plays, the now 32-year-old forward can call himself an official NHL player..

On Wednesday, Robins made his debut at the 2:22 mark in the first period as the fourth line right wing skating alongside Daniel Paille and Craig Cunningham.

"I'm sure I'll have some moments to really reflect on the big picture things but I'm just trying not to get too carried away," he said after the game. "I'm really focusing on showing up every single day, playing good hockey and really enjoying what I can control and if I can do that I won't get too overwhelmed and I can just focus on hockey."
