Sacred Heart broke open a scoreless battle with five second half goals on their way to a 5-1 victory over UMass Lowell, Sunday afternoon, at Campus Field in Fairfield, Ct.

Elie Monteiro. "We had a good effort, but we ran out of gas, we had heavy legs. They were a physical team; they put us under a lot of pressure."
The loss was the sixth in a row for a River Hawk team still looking for its first Division I victory. The Pioneers improved to 2-5-0.

th minute of play. Alexis Parlato banged home a rebound and it appeared to burst the dam.
Kristin Verrette scored twice in a span of less than two-minutes. The first came off a scramble in front of the River Hawk net in the 53
rd minute, the second, in the 55
th minute, finishing off a through ball putting it neatly in the left corner, 3-0.
The pioneers also got goals from Jillian Picinich, in the 66
th minute, and Lindsay Jossick in the 71
st minute.
Senior
Sarah Raye (Salem, N. H.) got the River Hawks on the board in the 83
rd minute, drilling home a rebound off a penalty kick. It was Raye's first goal of the year, it was unassisted.

The River Hawks return to the road, Friday afternoon, for a meeting with St. Bonaventure University in Olean, N. Y. They will return home Sunday (3pm) to host Harvard.
