Derek Arnold (Foxboro, Mass.) each scored in the third period while senior F
Riley Wetmore (Swanton, Vt.) and sophomore F
Scott Wilson (Oakville, Ont.) assisted on each goal to help the River Hawks to a valuable road point.
Furlong helped UMass Lowell cut the deficit to 4-3 when freshman F
A.J. White (Dearborn, Mich.) possessed off a faceoff win by Wetmore and drove down the left side, pulled back and hit Furlong, who wristed home from the point through a crowd.
UMass Lowell continued to pressure and it paid off on a power play at 15:18. Junior F

Doug Carr (Hanover, Mass.) at 16:52 into the second period.
Robbins showed his mettle on two occasions in the third period. UMass Lowell overcame a 1-0 deficit in the second period with goals 1:18 apart. White leveled 4:30 into the second period – his first collegiate goal – when he stole the rebound off an attempt by freshman D
Christian Folin (Gothenberg, Sweden) out of the clutch of senior G Bryan Mountain and tucked home from the right of the cage.
Junior D
Chad Ruhwedel (San Diego, Calif.) then scored his fifth in six games when he took a pass from sophomore
Zack Kamrass (Atlanta, Ga.) at the right point and wristed past Mountain.
Northeastern, however, regained its rhythm and evened matters at 12:52 when freshman Kevin Roy wristed past Carr gloveside from the top of the right faceoff circle. Four minutes later Roy gave the Huskies a 3-2 lead when he took a cross-ice pass from freshman F Mike McMurtry and shoveled under Carr from just inside the left circle.
The Huskies' momentum carried into the third period when Ferriero rifled off a faceoff which Robbins slowed. However, senior F Steve Morra put away the rebound to give Northeastern a 4-2 cushion.
Carr stopped 14 shots while Mountain had 41 saves. UMass Lowell outshot the Huskies 45-32.
