After going 4-1 at the Catawba Softball Invitational and 8-5 in Clermont, Fla., UMass Lowell opened its regional schedule at Saint Anselm Saturday where it defeated the Hawks 8-4 in the opener but suffered a 12-5 loss in the nightcap.
