The impressive list of panelists includes Lesley Visser, Jackie MacMullan, Wendy Nix and Carolyn Manno. The group will discuss their experiences working in the field of sports broadcast journalism through the years, including hardships they’ve faced and accomplishments they’ve achieved.

Visser widely considered to be a pioneer of her profession, as she was one of the first prominent and successful woman in the field of sports reporters, sportscasters and sportswriters.

MacMullan, a former Boston Globe columnist and graduate of the University of New Hampshire, also has contributed to ESPN, Sports Illustrated and NBA.com. Recently, she also published the book When the Game Was Ours, with Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

Nix is an ESPN reporter and host, mainly covering football and golf for the network. She is also a regular contributor to SportsCenter and Monday Night Countdown.

Manno works for Comcast Sports Network and has also served as a sideline reporter for ESPN.

The lecture, which is open to the public, will be held in Auditorium Room 222 at O’Leary Library and parking is availably across the street at the Lovejoy Parking Lot (61 Wilder Street).
