Senior goalkeeper Jamie Gillis (North Billerica, MA) and freshman forward Taylor Hartmann (Feeding Hills, MA) were each named among the Northeast-10 Conference players of the week, the Conference announced Monday.
Gillis shared Goalkeeper of the Week honors with Merrimack's Brittany Gustafson while Hartmann was named the NE-10 Rookie of the Week as UMass Lowell defeated Bentley (3-0) and Le Moyne (1-0) last Tuesday and Saturday.
With the victories, UMass Lowell extended its unbeaten streak to 11 matches, including 10 straight by shutout, as well as its run of consecutive scoreless minutes to a staggering 1,032.
In the win over Bentley, Gillis stopped three shots and followed with seven saves in the win over Le Moyne, including three in succession in a late flurry by the Dolphins.
The victories marked the 33rd and 34th clean sheets of Gillis' career.
Hartmann scored the lone goal in UMass Lowell's win over Le Moyne, her team-high seventh of the year.
UMass Lowell visits Saint Michael's Wednesday at 3:00.
