Junior Joseph Pendenza (Wilmington, Mass.) was named UMass Lowell’s Northwestern Mutual Athlete of the Week Wednesday after scoring a goal and four assists this weekend. Pendenza’s last assist came at the 3:06 mark of overtime on Christian Folin's (Gothenburg, Sweden) game-winning goal on Saturday night to cap off a 5-4 come from behind win.  

Pendenza had one assist in Fridays 4-4 tie at Matthews Arena in Boston on Friday night. On Saturday in front of a record crowd of 7,013 at the Tsongas Center he had one goal and three assists.

Pendenza currently leads the River Hawks with 21 points on 9 goals and 12 assists.
