Senior Torrie Huk (Milford, Del.) picked up her second River Hawk of the Week nod this season on the heels of an exciting, double-overtime victory against Columbia on Sept. 7.
Â
Huk recorded her second-career hat trick in the Columbia decision. Her first goal of the game, which opened the scoring for either side, earned major style points, as she managed to tip a pass from junior Anouk Lalande (Brussels, Belgium) up into the top of the cage before colliding hard with the opposing keeper. Her game-tying score was a one-timer on cage with just over three minutes left in regulation, and after over 16-minutes of 7-on-7, sudden-victory play in overtime, the forward's turn-around shot beat the Lions' keeper to the lower corner to secure the outcome. Huk now leads the team with 14 points in 2018, and is ranked third in the nation for goals per game (1.50) and points per game (3.50). Â
