Mason Ayotte

After working within the Boston College Student-Athlete Academic Services team, Ayotte joins UMass Lowell Athletics as an academic and student-athlete development advisor.

At Boston College, Ayotte served as an educational assistant. In that role, he was able to facilitate the study hall hours by serving as a motivator, academic coach and strategy tutor for the BC student-athletes. Assisting Eagles with developing organization, time management and study strategy skills also played a role in his position at Boston College.

Ayotte first gained experience as a career peer advisor while attending Towson University. Ayotte assessed and recommended changes to resumes and cover letters for students and alumni there. Developing content for the career center's sample resumes and planning a resume/cover letter workshop for the student-athletes during the school year were just a couple of his achievements in that position.

Another opportunity at Towson emerged, as Ayotte looked to work as an athletic facilities and event management intern. He completed maintenance requests for the 18 athletic teams, ensuring optimal playing conditions for their games and practices, in addition to helping set up and break down all home athletic events.

Serving as a game day operations staff/athletics intern at Loyola University gave Ayotte the chance to work a similar role. He had assisted the Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Facilities and Operations with duties involved in the operations of athletic competitions for 17 teams. Helping the equipment room managers with daily tasks, including preparing equipment for games and team travel, as well as acting as a primary site supervisor for rental agreements at Ridley Athletic Complex also played a part in his position at Loyola.

Ayotte earned his bachelor's degree in sport management with minors in business administration and marketing from Towson in 2024. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in sports administration at Boston College.
