She was promoted to Director of Communications in July of 2016 and Associate Athletic Director for Communications & Creative Content in October of 2022. She currently serves as the primary communications contact for the men’s basketball and field hockey teams.

Outside of her primary sports, Robbins handles the oversight of the entire athletic communications office. In this role, she is responsible for managing and developing the full-time and part-time communications staff members. Additionally, she is charged with developing the overall design concepts for the department on a yearly basis. As such, she is tasked with creating the graphic templates for the athletics website and social media accounts, and for printed publications and special events/projects annually. She has also assisted with three website redesigns for goriverhawks.com and launched the media training program for all UMass Lowell student-athletes.

An active member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) since 2012, she was named vice chair of the organization’s “CoSIDA U” Committee in 2018, taking over as committee chair in 2022. She has also served as a member of the organization's programming committee, and has been involved with the CoSIDA mentorship program since 2016. She has finished in the top three for CoSIDA's publications and digital design contest for motion graphics twice, including a first in the nation finish in 2018-19. Additionally, she won the CoSIDA Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest for District 1 in the season preview/recap category for two consecutive years (2018-20).

Robbins came to UMass Lowell after spending two years as Assistant Director of Media Relations at Longwood University where she was the primary contact for six of the university’s athletic teams. While with the Lancers, she covered the school’s first ever Big South Conference Championship and trip to the NCAA Division I Softball Championship. Additionally, during her tenure, she coordinated all the graphic design needs, digital media guides and social media efforts for Longwood Athletics.

Prior to Longwood, Robbins served as a media relations assistant at Boston College for one season (2011-12), working with four of the Eagles’ programs, including the nationally ranked field hockey and women’s lacrosse teams.

During her time as an undergraduate, Robbins worked in the Syracuse University Athletic Communications Office. In addition to assisting with football and men’s and women’s basketball, she spent two years as an undergraduate SID, covering softball, cross country and track and field.

Robbins has been a featured speaker at multiple sports business events. She has had the opportunity to work on the media coordination team for three NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball East Regionals, as well. Other stops for Robbins have included the Boston Bruins (2010), the Bay State Games (2010-11) and the New England Revolution (2009).
