Annie Jenkins

Annie Jenkins enters her second year with the River Hawks’ athletic business office, joining the staff as the athletic business assistant in July 2018 before being promoted to her current role as assistant director of athletic business operations in July 2019. Her duties include assisting with the fiscal management of all sports and administrative areas within the UMass Lowell athletic department by assuming overall responsibility for all purchasing-related activities.

Jenkins comes to UMass Lowell having served two years as assistant to the commissioner at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) in Winthrop, Mass. Jenkins received her master's degree in athletic administration (collegiate level) in May 2017 from Endicott College, where she spent two years as the Gulls’ sports information graduate assistant and was the 2017 Endicott “Woman of Impact” honoree. Jenkins, a CoSIDA 2016 Fred Stabley Sr. District 1 Writing Contest “Story with Video” winner, was the primary media relations contact for six of Endicott’s 21 varsity teams and oversaw statistical coverage and social media engagement efforts, while creating multimedia content to expand the college’s global reach.

Prior to her time at Endicott, Jenkins graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in journalism and minor in political science from Emerson College in May 2015 as an outfielder on the softball team. Additionally, as president of Emerson’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Board for two years, the 2012 GNAC Sportsmanship Award recipient also held a work-study job in the Emerson athletic department all four years as part of her sports information staff game-day responsibilities and completed internships with New England Sports Network (NESN) and the Golden State Collegiate Baseball League (GSCBL) while in college and worked weekends at the Boston Globe sports desk.

Jenkins, a proud triplet, resides in North Billerica, Mass.
