Alex Maloney

Alex Maloney joins the UMass Lowell Sports Performance staff as a Graduate Fellow. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with double minors in Sports Psychology and Athletic Training. Maloney brings several years of experience in strength and conditioning, performance coaching, and program development, most recently serving as Lead Programming Specialist and Senior Strength Coach at Seattle Strength & Performance. In that role, she helped oversee programming for more than 350 members, developed progressive training programs, mentored coaches, and contributed to the development of standard operating procedures and educational resources.
This year, Maloney will work with the Softball and Field Hockey teams while pursuing a master’s degree in Exercise & Sport Science.
Maloney holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC), Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Mike Boyle Strength & Conditioning (MBSC Level 1), USA Weightlifting (USAW Level 1), SafeSport certified and CPR/AED.
