Biography
AS A JUNIOR: Played in all 25 matches (96 games) • Had 162 kills, 50 total blocks and 43 digs • Had a season high 11 kills four times and five blocks twice.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Appeared in nine matches (11 games) with one start • Had seven kills • Had two kills and a block assist in a 1-3 loss at Pace (10/15).
AS A FRESHMAN: Appeared in 11 matches (12 games) • Totaled four kills • Recorded three kills and a dig in her collegiate debut against Dominican (9/11).
BEFORE UMASS LOWELL: Starred at Conard High School for the past three seasons, earning All-Central Connecticut Conference honors in each • Helped lead Conard to the CCC Championship in 2008 • Was a member of the National Honor Society and French National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Jamie Elizabeth Muntz is one of three children of Deborah and James Muntz of West Hartford, Conn. • Lists her father as her favorite sports figure for his tremendous athletic talent and the support he gave in her endeavors • Chose UML for its great engineering program and the opportunity gain independence while playing volleyball • Dreams of building bridges in the future • Majoring in Civil Engineering.
