Shironda Hollis

Hollis is in her second season as Assistant Coach for the River Hawks. Provanzano announced her appointment on July 25, 2017.

Hollis joined the River Hawks after spending the last two years (2015, 2016) as the head coach at Nichols College. In that role, she spent time assembling the school's first volleyball team and guided the Bison to a 6-20 record in the program's inaugural year.

Prior to Nichols, Hollis spent two years as head coach of the Detroit Volleyball Club (2012-2014), with stops as head coach of the USA Volleyball U-16 and U-18 teams (2011-2012), assistant coach at Bethune-Cookman University (2009-2011), and head coach for Father Lopez Catholic School (2006-2009).

Hollis studied biology at Bethune-Cookman and received an associates degree in mathematics from Daytona State College in 2010.

While at her alma mater, Hollis was a three-year letter-winner for the Wildcats where she was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year in 2000. She earned multiple MEAC Player of the Week awards during her collegiate tenure and was twice named the Most Valuable Player of her Bethune-Cookman squad.
