De Turk is in her fourth as Assistant Coach with the River Hawks. Her primary focus with the River Hawks is recruiting and on-court training. Provanzano announced her appointment on June 30, 2014.

Provanzano and DeTurk were both assistant coaches at Northeastern under head coach Ken Nichols. DeTurk joined the coaching staff of her alma mater in 2011 and helped the team to a 60-24 overall record over the last three seasons, including a stellar 30-10 mark in Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) play. She helped the Huskies to two 20-win seasons in her time on the Huskies’ coaching staff.

DeTurk has coached two All-American Honorable Mention selections, three AVCA All-East Region winners, 13 All-Conference Team selections, a CAA Player of the Year, a two-time CAA Defensive Specialist of the Year, and two CAA Rookies of the Year.

She had an accomplished playing career as an outside hitter at Northeastern where she claimed the CAA Player of the Year honor in 2008. Other honors during her career include First-Team All-CAA honors, CAA All-Tournament Team, and American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-East Region Honorable Mention.

Outside of coaching, DeTurk still plays in the Premier Volleyball League for Team New England and also plays in East End Volleyball beach tournaments. DeTurk also played overseas, spending a year in Switzerland playing for the Saignelegier club team from 2009 to 2010.

DeTurk graduated from Northeastern in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Secondary Education.
