AS A SENIOR: Appeared in all 26 matches and 81 games played • Led the River Hawks in digs with 262 • Recorded a season-best 17 digs vs. Manhattan (8/30) and Rhode Island (9/13) • Finished her career with 1,232 digs, Seventh all-time in UMass Lowell History.
AS A JUNIOR: Played in all 25 matches and saw action in 96 sets • First on the River Hawks with 263 digs and second on UML with 145 assist • Had two double-doubles • Totaled 14 double-digit digs in 25 matches • Season highlights include 18 digs and 15 assists in a 3-2 loss at Franklin Pierce (9/25) • Had 25 assists, 9 kills and 9 assists in a 3-2 setback to American Int'l (9/28).
AS A SOPHOMORE: Appeared in 24 matches and 88 games played • Second on the team in digs with 270 • Totaled 14 double-digit digs in 24 matches • Recorded a season-best 21 digs in a 2-3 lost at AIC (9/13) • Had three service aces in 3-1 win at SNHU (9/17) • Had 18 digs and a service ace at Merrimack (10/25).
AS A FRESHMAN: Selected to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Rookie Team • Named the NE-10 Libero of the Week on Nov. 8 • Appeared in all 27 matches with three starts • Totaled a team-best 437 digs in 103 games played • Ranked ninth in the NE-10 in digs per set (4.15) and recorded double-digit digs in 21 of 26 matches • Tallied 32 digs in her collegiate debut against Merrimack (9/4), still a career-best • Recorded a career-high five service aces in a win over St. Michael's (10/26) • Had 28 digs and a service ace at Merrimack (9/28) • Amassed 25 digs against Stonehill (10/6).
BEFORE UMASS LOWELL: Starred for Central Catholic High School, CCHS, as a four-year varsity starter and senior captain • Named the 2009 "Player of the Year" by the Boston Globe, Lawrence Eagle Tribune and Lowell Sun • 2009 Merrimack Valley Conference Division I Player of the Year • Four-year MVC All-Conference selection • Led CCHS to 2007, 2008 and 2009 MVC Division I Championships • As a senior, led CCHS to the Division I State Finals.
PERSONAL: Carolyn Yvonne Eddy is one of two daughters of Barbara and Earl Eddy of Dracut, Mass. • Credits her sister, Colleen (24), for training and motivating her to become the player she is today • Future plans are to pursue a career in exercise physiology while volunteering to teach young girls play volleyball • Lists the Boston Red Sox and Celtics as her favorite sports teams • Recalls beating Melrose, for the first time, to clinch the North Sectional State Title as her greatest sports moment • Majoring in Exercise Physiology.
