AS A SENIOR: 2010 NCAA East Region Indoor Field Athlete of the Year • All-American, NCAA Championship runner-up in the indoor shot put, placed second with a personal-best throw of 49[apos] 4.25[apos][apos] • All-New England, placed second at the New England Championship with a toss of 48[apos] 11.50[apos][apos] • 2010 NE-10 indoor champion (47[apos] 7.25[apos][apos]) • Exceeded NCAA automatic qualifying mark four times in the indoor season.

AS A JUNIOR: NCAA Championship qualifier in the shot put, placed 15th • All-New England honors twice, placed 4th indoors (45[apos] 2.5[apos][apos]) and 3rd outdoors (44[apos] 10.75) • Northeast-10 Conference outdoor shot put champion (career-best 47[apos] 4.25[apos][apos]), the sixth-best throw in Division II • NE-10 All-Academic Team • USTFCCCA All-Academic Team • NE-10 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll • Division II Athletic Directors Association Achievement Award.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Placed 12th in the shot put at the NCAA outdoor championship (44[apos] 4.0[apos][apos]) • Two-time All-New England, placed fourth in the indoor shot put (44[apos] 4.75[apos][apos]) and fourth in the outdoor shot put (44[apos] 8.0[apos][apos]) • Northeast-10 champion in the outdoor shot put (career-best 46[apos] 0.75[apos][apos]) • USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

AS A FRESHMAN: NE-10 Indoor Freshman Field Athlete of the Week seven times • NE-10 Outdoor Freshman of the Week four times.

WOBURN MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL: Ran indoor track for three years and outdoor for two years at Woburn High School • Three-time team Most Valuable Player • League All-Star in 2005 and 2006 for indoor and outdoor track • Broke school record in team pentathalon • Wobern Daily Times All-Star and Women[apos]s Field Athlete of the Year • Coaches[apos] Award recipient • Also played soccer for WHS • Four-year member of the Dance Team and DARE Role Model.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Carlene Strangeways and Edward Barrett of Woburn, Mass • Has three siblings • Lists the Boston Red Sox and Celtics, as well as New England Patriots as her favorite teams.
